A day to meet the elephants
After breakfast, your guide will collect you from your hotel and take you to the Elephant Village Camp sanctuary in Ban Xieng Lom. You will visit the camp and spend time in the company of these enormous animals. The mahouts will explain their job and their very special relationship with these pachyderms. You will take a walk alongside one of the elephants (with a bath) and then have lunch on the camp's terrace, offering a splendid view of the river. For trips between July and December, when there is water, you can take a 15-minute pirogue ride to the Tad Sae waterfall for a swim. Return to town and transfer to your hotel. Free time for the rest of the afternoon to discover the city on your own and dinner on your own.

Exploration of the KuangSi waterfalls and meeting with the Hmong community
After breakfast, your guide will collect you from your hotel. You will take a minivan through the countryside to reach the impressive Kuang Si waterfalls in the middle of the jungle. You will visit the centre for bears rescued from poaching. Lunch on your own and an afternoon at the waterfall to relax in this heavenly setting. Free time to swim in the turquoise water and stroll through the jungle. In the middle of the afternoon, a visit to the butterfly park is sure to delight the children. An experience lasting around an hour, during which they will have the opportunity to observe at close quarters various species of butterfly native to Laos. On the way back to Luang Prabang, you'll stop off at an ethnic Hmong village at Ban Na Ouan. Return to your hotel and evening at leisure. Dinner at your own expense.

Local tractor, views of the valley, kayaking on the NamOu river and resort swimming pool
After breakfast in the village, you will return to the trail that led to Muang Ngoikao the day before, which you will do by tèk-tèk (local tractor)! On arrival in the village, you will try your hand at climbing Mount PhaNoy and admiring the view over the valley (accessible to children). Free local lunch in the village. The adventure continues, but by kayak! Your kayaks will be waiting for you at the small port to begin your descent of the NamOu River, always accompanied by your guide. During this adventure, you'll probably be able to see net fishermen, buffalo, children bathing and wooden and bamboo villages along the banks. Arrive late afternoon where you will dock at your pool resort. Free time to relax in the resort pool and contemplate the breathtaking views. Dinner included at the resort.

Head north over the mountains to the nature resort of Namkat Yorlapa
Breakfast at the resort. You will then leave in your private minivan for the Namkat YorLaPa resort along a beautiful road with stunning mountain scenery. En route you will visit several Khmou, Hmong and Lue tribe villages and the small local roadside market where the ethnic minorities come down from their mountain villages to sell the game they have caught in their traps, as well as their handicrafts. Lunch at leisure en route, which is sure to be very typical. Continue on towards Oudomxay to reach the Namkat Yorklapa Resort. Arriving in Oudomxay, you will climb Mount Phouthat to admire the most beautiful view of the town of MuangXay before arriving at your resort. Settle into your room and enjoy some free time to relax or take advantage of the resort's swimming pool. Time to say goodbye to your driver. Dinner on your own.
